Report of the BiH Press Council on breaches of Press Code in 2004
The BIH Press Council (Vijeće za štampu BiH) has carried out monitoring of BiH print media with the aim of identifying articles in breach of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Press Code. The monitoring covered “Oslobođenje”, “Dnevni avaz”, “Nezavisne novine”, “Jutarnje novine”, “Dnevni list”, “Glas srpske”, “BH Dani”, “Slobodna Bosna”, “Start”, “Novi reporter”, “Ljiljan”, “Walter”, “Front slobode” and “Prezent”, in the period from 1 April to 31 May 2004. Based on the research conducted by the Mediacentar, the Press Council has published Report no. 2 of the BiH Press Council on continuous print media monitoring (April-May 2004).The aim of the research was to analyze the scope, nature, and trends of violations of BiH Press Code in BiH press outlets. For the purposes of this research, the Council has engaged the Mediacentar Sarajevo, which has submitted a preliminary report to the Council, with all necessary information collected in the research, including samples of selected texts. Based on all the delivered materials, the BiH Press Council members have reviewed the report and approved its final version. Click here to see the Report.
