The primary focus of a three-year project “Our Media” is on strengthening capacities of CSOs, media professionals, young activists and citizens to improve their understanding of trends and challenges regarding media development and sustainability, media freedom and media integrity in the Western Balkans and Turkey.

The project " Reinforcing the role of media in addressing the climate emergency " has been launched with the aim of improving public awareness of climate change in the Western Balkans region.

Mediacentar, in partnership with with “Transitions” from Prague, continues with implementation of activities toward strengthening of local support structures for media literacy of children, young people, parents and caregivers, journalists and all other experts that provide professional parenting support.

This project will offer comprehensive analysis of under-researched role of journalists in ICTY court proceedings, as well as the analysis of usage of media material in the ICTY court proceedings.

2018

Seven media development organizations in the Western Balkans have joined forces under an EU funded project ’Media for Citizens – Citizens for Media’ to build capacities of CSOs to advance media and information literacy (MIL) in the region.

The project "Against Radicalization and Violent Extremism in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian Public Space" will address the dangers of further polarization, radicalization and potential violent extremism among young people in BiH.

"Free voices" is an educational program focused on digital production and development of digital communication strategies.

The objective of the project is to contribute to the safety of journalists and protection of media freedom in Bosnia and Herzegovina by raising awareness of key stakeholders about online threats against journalists.

The project “Media and Public Credibility” was launched with the aim of establishing transparency of media ownership, media financing and advertising in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2017

The aim of the program is to offer quality research analyzes and recommendations for improving the status, financing and strategic programming of local public media in BiH and to encourage and train junior researchers to deal with this topic.
