Alena Velagic, a Psychology graduate from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, joined Mediacenter Sarajevo in December 2023 as a project coordinator. With a master's from the School of Economics and Business and Adizees Academy of Management in Management and Organization, she brings experience from various local and international non-governmental organizations. Her expertise lies in projects centered on security, preventing violent extremism, countering terrorism, and strengthening institutions at state and local level, as well as civil society and youth organizations.
