The Journalism Programme is designed as an interactive programme with the main goal of facilitating exchange of experience among media professionals in print, electronic and online media, organising professional advancement, as well as training journalism students through different training programmes. The quality of the offered programmes and 10 years of experience in this field are the reasons why Mediacentar Sarajevo became a member of the South East European Network for Professionalisation of the Media (SEENPM).
So far, we have organised more than 150 short-term and long-term education programmes, trainings, workshops, public debates and roundtables for journalists and other media professionals, attended by approximately 2,000 participants from Bosnia-Herzegovina and the region. Numerous training programmes have also been held for journalism students at universities in Tuzla, Sarajevo and Banja Luka.
The training participants come from B-H, the rest of the former Yugoslavia and the whole region of South East Europe. Mediacentar relies on its own network of trainers with extensive experience from the region and rest of the world, who adjust their lectures to course participants’ specific needs. It has technical capacities for implementation of practical training – a computer room and good equipment for radio and TV training.
